Diyandi Festival derived its name from "diyandi" which means "celebrate" while "mag-diyandi" means "to celebrate". It was researched by the world renowned creative director of the Integrated Arts Guild (IPAG).
Thus the word "diyandi" becomes the perfect trademark to Iligan's extended celebration.
